It's November 2020 and lockdown has been with us for a while, I decided to change the way my photography works by switching to a new system and getting rid of all the bulky gear that I thought I needed in an overstuffed camera bag, and so I have decided that my Acrylic work needed a look at and as such I've moved away from paper ( not permanently) to art-boards. As ever I always seem to be on some learning curve but at the moment am happy with the way the latest work is developing. Here are some of my latest panels, 53 x 38 cms in size, I'm probably working up to bigger things but for the moment this size will do.
A lot of my free time is spent on the Ayrshire coast, so many different sorts of habitat on one stretch of coastline, and if you go out there, don't forget to take your coat... and at this time of year even if the sun is shining take a hat, gloves and scarf.
So I think my greatest influences in doing these is the Coast, Harbours and Beaches in this part of Scotland with the elements roaring away in the background like an allstar Sessions band.
